Well said but my twitter account has been suspended since August 2018 cos of copyright issues I posted a video without permission from the owners of the content. I have tried contacting the company based in Germany to get in touch with twitter to unsuspend my account but there isn’t any response. I even translated what I typed to German as I don’t understand the language but still no word. I contacted twitter and they replied and said I need to get in touch with the company in Germany. I have missed chatting with my friends on it. Can you please help . My Twitter account is @iamscholes

      Hi Maryam,

Would you like to forward the Twitter appeal response to [email protected]. I will get back. Thanks!

Hi I was suspended for calling Tomi Laren a bimbo – how can i get my account back – I filed an appeal and they said my comment was abusive – What do I need to do to get my acct back? Its been about 7 days

    • Chiles Russell-Taylor says:

What’s up. My Twitter account is currently suspended for violating Twitter Rules from Tuesday August 27, 2019. And I don’t know how many days. Man it’s like breaking my feelings and I didn’t do anything wrong or anything else wrong. I mean help me lord.

  3. Kim says:

Twitters responses to the ‘appeal’ process are also automated. Twitter has a bias stance on how they define “hateful conduct.” The following description is for hateful conduct from Twitter. “You may not promote violence against or directly attack or threaten other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or disease.”

For the following response my account was suspended:

If I could post a pic of the following I would to prove nothing was altered. Twitter DOES NOTlike the truth when presented factually.

“@Nelba_MG @shaunking When a family has been destroyed bc an illegal alien shot, raped, stabbed, set on fire an innocent legal US citizen the #TenYearChallange takes on an entirely different meanings these people’s lives were cut short bc the illegals are NOT supposed to be here.#BuildTheDamnWallNow https://[…]”

    I did NOT promote violence
I did NOT directly attack or threaten ANYONE
I simply stated facts. Upon appeal to Twitter, I sent links to each article where an American family was destroyed by an illegal alien for the above stated reasons.

However, all I received was another automated response. When I tried to deactivate my account while following Twitter links, I received error messages.

    Signed,

can anyone help me restore my account as it suddenly showed up thaty account is suspend and I have sent and appeal form but no reply till now……

    • Harshita Agrawal says:

      Hi Kaustuv!

When did you submit an appeal form? Maybe you should wait for 2-3 days for their reply before trying out any other thing.

      • Lunalaxy says:

Hello. They replied to me saying they decided to unsuspend. But when I go to my account still says suspended.

  5. Noha says:

I did everything you said but Twitter support reply was that it was suspended for impersonation and will not be restored. It is a fan account and I did not impersonate anyone. Is there any chance I could get it unsuspended?

    • Harshita Agrawal says:

      Hi Noha,

Thanks for your comment. With Twitter’s strict implementation, it’s difficult for me to say if it can be unsuspended if you’ve already tried everything. I’m sorry I can’t help further.

      • Charlotte says:

        Hi.

My account has suspended and it has been over two weeks. I did the appeal the day it happened and changed and resent my account password and am still waiting to see if my suspension will be lifted and when. Is there a way to help me? I was actually being harassed and made to look like a homophobic bigot which is something I am not. These people also privately told one of my friends to kill herself in her DMs and when my friend reported the account with proof of this nothing was done. But yet somehow I am suspended and these accounts are free to roam.

  6. Maha Ayman says:

my twitter suspended my account due copyright issues, I wrote them an email apologizing (it was a mashup i made for ariana) and I said i didn’t mean to and I’m sorry and they sent me

“Email attachments are not accepted for security reasons, and are removed by our support system.

Twitter accepts copyright complaints submitted through our copyright complaint form: https://support.twitter.com/forms/dmca. Use of our web form is the most efficient method to ensure Twitter will expeditiously review your notice. More information about our copyright policy, including information on how to file a counter notice, is available on our help center: https://support.twitter.com/articles/15795. ”

I emailed [email protected] and they didn’t help and sent the same email..please help me

    • Harshita Agrawal says:

      Hi Maya,

Is this the first time you faced any copyright issue with Twitter or has it happened before? Because according to Twitter, in case of copyright infringement:

Twitter’s response to copyright complaints may include the removal or restriction of access to allegedly infringing material. If we remove or restrict access to user content in response to a copyright complaint, Twitter will make a good faith effort to contact the affected account holder with information concerning the removal or restriction of access, including a full copy of the complaint, along with instructions for filing a counter-notice.

Did Twitter contact you to remove your video with the complaint? Because I’m guessing you must have missed their complaint and then they would have suspended your account? Is it?

31 days now for me! I was erroneously auto-suspended with NO warning just 1 minute after a harmless tweet that said ‘Catholic church.’ What bullshit. NO response from numerous appeals, even a message from a different acct. Any ideas anyone?

  9. Andrea Marie says:

Good day! I’ve been suspended for almost 3 weeks. I’ve sent an appeal last March 3,2019 and the response they sent was

    Hello,

We received your appeal regarding your account. Please reply to this message and confirm that you have access to this email address. Once we receive your confirmation, we’ll review the information you provided and will respond as soon as possible.

We typically suspend accounts for violations of the Twitter Rules (https://twitter.com/rules) or Terms of Service (https://twitter.com/tos). Additionally, repeat violations may result in permanent account suspension.

    Thanks,

    Twitter Support

I replied to their email and confirm that I have access to my email address but still there’s no response. I became inpatient so I resend an appeal

    • Harshita Agrawal says:

      Hi Andrea,

I don’t think sending multiple appeals to Twitter is a good idea or will help. You should wait for their response, as there’s nothing else you can do after sending an appeal. The final decision is theirs. But, if you’re using Twitter aggressively or sending out hate tweets, or any other violation of Twitter policies, you must refrain from them in the future.

    • Dave says:

I keep getting the same responses. I’ve done all they asked but it does no good. They can’t just tell me if I’m suspended and for how long or if I’m terminated.

  10. alex says:

I mean, you deserve to return the account

    • Maria Carolyn Ferrer says:

Mine as well, they suspended my account, and I’m so eager to get my account back, all of my memories is in there, since 2012! what should we do now, atleast before suspended us, they should warn us if we did something wrong, what about facebook? there’s a lot of people who uses facebook in a bad ways. i filed an appeal, I did explained to them everything, and even send my personal Identifications, still they suspended my account, it is so unfair.

Twitter uses automation, and has automation rules, so its a bit hypocritical for them to be suspending accounts based on automation, and this is the same excuse they’ve given me for the 7 times they’ve locked me out of my account.
I once opened a new account, it didn’t even tweet. It was for a business and twitter immediately suspended it.
In all cases they demand a phone number to reopen it. That is where I draw the line, giving my personal phone number that is connected to so many other important things to a random company in a state I don’t even live in.
Why should they be allowed to violate our privacy ?
Sick and tired of twitters automated antics. Each and every time they suspended my account/s they cited automation.
This is a lie and am sick of being falsely accused by twitter. ALL the tweets are tweeted by me in real time.
Its disgusting how this is playing out.

    • Zillion says:

Twitter suspended my account and keeps asking me to validate using the code sent to my phone. Yet no code is sent. It’s been three days now. One day, someone will get fed up and create a similar app that will treat people fairly. How can I be asked to verify with a code I am not given? They have my phone number and each time I say the code hasn’t been sent, nothing is done. Just keeps asking me to validate with code.

Its informative but there are other reasons peoples accounts get suspended. Just read an article stating people who understand twitters algorithms sometimes strive to get political opponents suspended intentionally. No one is talking about that, but its important because there is a lot of political back & forth on twitter and in many cases the account holder has NOT violated twitters rules.
I know that’s the case with me.

  15. Moser says:

oh no. this person saying their twitter account has been suspended for 3 weeks with no contact from support just crushed my hopes.

my account was suspended yesterday. i sent my appeal 1 hour after the suspension, responded to the confirmation email as soon as i got it.

i compromised to sit tight and patiently wait for a development. but does twitter simply ignore some appeals? is that a thing they do?

  16. Leigh says:

Hello, I run a fan account and discovered it had been suspended for impersonation however I looked at the guidelines and realised my account was definitely not within violation of them. The rules state that “accounts with similar usernames or that are similar in appearance (e.g. the same profile image) are NOT automatically in violation of the impersonation policy” my profile picture was a picture of the person I am a fan of but my display name was my own name. The rules continue “In order to violate our impersonation policy the account must portray another entity in a misleading or deceptive manner” which I never did, as I said, my display name was my own name, I tweeted about myself never pretending to be the person in my profile picture, all my followers were aware of my true identity as I tweeted pictures of myself, my age and where I come from. No one was mislead or deceived into believing I was anyone but myself. I appealed once already, all I said in the description was that I believe my account was wrongfully suspended and I got a reply within a few hours informing me of why my account had been suspended and they said my account would not be restored but I replied to that email stating what I said above and filled another appeal form going into further details of how I know my account didn’t violate any twitter rules. I am waiting for a response, however I am very anxious and I was wondering if you’d have any more insight, if the steps I am taking are correct or if there’s even a chance I’ll get my account back. Thank you.

  21. Ariane says:

hello! I’ve been suspended out of the blue and sent two appeal forms to twitter to unsuspend my account. they replied within 3 days saying they had decided to unsuspend my account (the reason for the suspension was violation of twitter rules, no idea why tho.). However when I try logging in it still says I’m suspended. i don’t know how else to contact twitter. has anyone else met delays between twitters answer and their acc’s recovery?
    thank you

    • Jaclynn Koury says:

Hi! The same thing happened to me, Ariane. My account was suspended on April 2. I appealed the process through the proper channels, and on the night of April 4, I received an email stating that my account would be unsuspended. It is now one week later, I still can’t access the account. Other accounts that were suspended have been recovered, but not mine. My account didn’t violate any rules that I know of. What have others done, aside from re-appealing, which I did today, when that happened?

    • Jaclynn says:

I’m having the same issue. I was told a week ago my suspended accounts would be restored, but I still can’t access them. I don’t understand why they would say they are unsuspending accounts and then not follow through.

    • Nes says:

  22. mbone says:

Hiya. My account was suspended because I was accessing my account from my PC and iPad. When twitter asked me if I am a robot. I responded it back on my iPad but no on my PC then my account boom suspended. I followed the procedure three times then twitter sent me the same automated email stated that they have decided to unsuspend my account however, the suspension is still remaining on my account… now I don’t know what to do… Any help?

  23. David Beach says:

Hello, my Twitter was suspended on April 2, 2019. I can log-in and see my page but could not send tweets or DM’s. I appealed and received a email on April 11, 2019 stating my Twitter account will “remain suspended” due to “Creating multiple accounts”. Yes, it’s true. I created three accounts to cover three different topics of discussion. I didn’t know that was a violation of Twitter rules. I tried to open a new Twitter page but it was suspended before I could send one tweet. Is there anything I can do to have them un-suspend at least one account so I can communicate with family and friends? Honestly, I didn’t know I violated their rules. Thank you for the advice.

  24. Angus Pang says:

My account was suspended back in January. I have sent several appeals but all have said that my account won’t be restored. The reason I was suspended was because I was replying to a tweet asking for favorite movie quotes and I did “i will find you and i will kill you” with no intention of ever sending it as a threatening tweet. Nothing online seems to say anything on what to do if twitter won’t restore accounts if the appeal doesn’t work. please help.

  25. The article made total sense, but it definitely has not worked in my case. I logged on to Twitter two months ago to find I was suspended for some unknown reason. I changed my password and took all the necessary steps including filing an appeal. I waited about five days and refiled thinking maybe Twitter did not receive my original appeal. I haven’t been able to review, direct message, respond, or even deactivate my account. I finally got a canned response from Twitter stating I’m suspended and it usually takes a couple days but could be a little longer to investigate. I heard nothing. So, being the only way to communicate with them, I used their appeal process asking if I was suspended, and for how long or was I banned permanently. All I received again was the canned response. I’ve went through this process at least twenty times to no avail. Last night, I received an email saying they asked me for additional information which is not true so I have no idea what they want from me. I provided my phone number, email, and changed my password again. But, as usual I’m still suspended. It’s obvious their system is useless. All I want to know is I’m suspended and for how long, or am I terminated since their is no such thing as “permanently suspended.” If terminated, I just want my information totally removed as I’m getting requests from followers but I can’t respond.

  26. Mark S Miller says:

My account was suspended (30 days) for “violating twitter rules” I was given the option to appeal which I chose to do. I keep seeing the message stating that they are reviewing my appeal. After several WEEKS that message changed to we are almost ready to reply regarding your appeal. No the message is back to “you have appealed these 2 tweets and while your appeal is ongoing you can not access your account” then at the bottom of the page it gives me the option to CANCEL the appeal. This has been ongoing since the END of March and I have not received any information one way or the other. Crazy.

  29. ana says:

My twitter just got suspended today because of copyright violation when I had no clue my videos broke any twitter rules. I wasn’t posting anything for publicity or to gain anything from them, they were just for fun. I sent and submitted all my appeals and did so many counter-notices for all the copyright reports my account has gotten. I am extremely nervous twitter won’t get back to me in a timely fashion. I’ve been hearing the earliest would be a week to a month to as long as many months. This is my first time ever being suspended and I get the worst anxiety over nothing. If there’s anything anyone can do to help me get twitter to speed up my account being restored, that would be so much appreciated. I’m desperate!

  35. Jay D says:

My Twitter account was suspended overnight (as were 20 other people I followed) and you’re article is great, but I’m not going to pretend that Twitter isn’t targeting people who have viewpoints outside the leftist narrative – because they ARE!

It’s pretty obvious that leftists, particularly the blue-check leftists, can say whatever vile thing they want, to whomever they want and Twitter will do nothing. The leftist Krassenstein brothers only got suspended because they allegedly paid for bots, NOT because of all the nasty things they said. They locked James Woods out of his account because he quoted text from a book & demanded he delete his ‘offensive’ tweet.

I said over a year ago that social media platforms were going to target more conservatives leading up to the 2020 elections and they have proved me correct. Imagine the telephone company banning you from using their service because they didn’t like your political viewpoints! I guess we don’t require the Constitution to protect our freedom of speech because the corporations are looking out for us (eye roll)!

I hope the social media platforms who are regulating our speech will eventually pay the price for their obvious bias. They are just like the fascists the allegedly freedom-loving leftists used to detest, but now the leftists have BECOME the fascists!

    • JDorsey says:

Absolutely! Thats the ONLY reason why I can think that they would suspend me!!! I mean, really! Bette Midler has been bashing, trashing, and calling Trump all sorts of derogatory names, threatening him……….basically think of the nastiest, most “diseased” hateful, racist thing you can think of, and magnify that times a million………and you have Bette Midlers tweets on Trump! And yet SHE has yet to be banned, chastised, revoked, suspended, or deleted!

Yet I post a few comments on AOC, and all of a sudden my account is suspended!!!

I have my suspicions that Twitter is owned and ran by Communists.

      • Johanna Yale says:

Nope you are wrong. I am one of those “leftists” you speak of and my account got suspended for making a joke that Stephen Miller should be tarred and feathered or tarred and confetti-ed. Or tarred and glittered. (Which set off a whole slew of silly responses like tarred and furred, tarred and confefed, just jokes not serious we are liberals and tarring and feathering is not a thing in modern times which is why to me it was so obvious this was not actual threat) Anyway I refused to take down the tweet and have it replaced by a message that stated I was an abuser. This especially rankled me because my daughter has an account that people have tweeted death threats to because she dared to say that men should not put their bare feet in her foot space on a plane. None of them suspended even after being reported by many people.

  43. I have a strike & my account remains suspended.I didn’t break the rules. Here’s what I wrote: @BreitbartNews Oh hell no! Why do we owe illegal immigrants a d*** thing? They are illegal and that, to me, means criminals. So are we now at the mercy of criminals? Why do we legal/citizens) even try? Let’s all go on welfare as so many do? That means get rid of our pride in doing good.

  44. Hi! My account was suspened because I called Alyssa Milano a bimbo after she called compared VP Pence a Nazi? She showed a photo of him at an illegal immigrant facility by which he publicly stated his disdane regarding they hadn’t been able to shower, brush their teeth, over crowded etc. Our VP literally stood up for them. Yet…Alyssa Milano is allowed to incite hate and violence by calling him a Nazi….placing undo fear…anger AND hate in people’s minds. Lies like this cause riots, wars, and creates groups of people to come together and become deathly violent towards anyone who disagrees w/them as we have seen happening.

Please explain how I promotes violence against, threatened, or harassed other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease.”””…because I said, “….

@Alyssa_Milano @RachelMcKibbens So…Pence spoke up for these men in this particular facility that for some reason their basic needs weren’t/couldn’t be met and you’re comparing him to Nazis!? You have got to be the most ignorant bimbo!!!!!

Why is it ok for the far left to incite violence and literally encourage people to be violent AND applause violence on Twitter and not have their accounts shut down?

I’m simply not understanding this at all.

  45. Kelly Bertram says:

I was suspended as well. I did the appeal process, but haven’t heard back from them. I read, and re-read their rules. I did not violate any rule. Is this censorship? From what I can gather, some people are above the law?

Someone online posted that suspensions only last a month, and it’s been at least TWO months now and I am still “suspended”………STILL with NO reason WHY……..still with NO REPLIES TO ANYTHING I sent their “customer service”!!!

I made an appeal using the form in your article and got a response from which I pasted below.
Do you think they can still ”unsuspend” it if I wait for a longer time or I should just forget about it?

My twitter account just got suspended because I tweeted in reply to a friend that i will kill you, it was completely non-serious and I was having fun with him by teasing him. But twitter suspended my account straight away. I have asked for appeal. Is there anything else that I can do? I love my twitter with all my heart, I am so depressed on losing it.

I’ve been suspended from twitter since Feb 7 2019 after tweeting ‘you’re a dude Steve’ to a tranny just wondering if this is an unforgivable sin

Good day here, my Twitter account got suspended since I lost the particular mobile phone I used to open the account and I been following some people saying follow me and get more followers not known they are not from the right people till I got a now mobile phone trying to log in, so after all prosesies it will say congratulation you can now twit, trying to press it in two seconds it will write back you can not your account has been suspended, pls I need a help to restore my account back it means a lot to my career the account is @n2easy20

  60. Paula says:

As soon as I log in my twitter account a notice that says “confirm your phone number that is associated with your twitter account” appears, but the problem is, I lost my phone so I can’t access that number anymore. What should I do?

  61. Mary Hilton says:

I’ve had my account suspended when George Conway (yes, THAT George Conway) flagged my tweet as being abusive.
I’ve not filed an appeal. Mostly because if he’s what Twitter goes by for the norm for account suspensions, it’s not the left that’s doing it, it’s the right-wing conservatives who don’t want any speech anti-Trump at all.
As my for tweet, it was offensive and disgusting but no worse than what Donald Trump has tweeted in his posts. I’ve been shut down because I called Tomi Lahren a bimbo, and one other offense for offending a Republican (all of these infraction reports came from Republicans. They’re all snowflakes.)
All in all, if you think Twitter is going to uphold the 1st Amendment, you’re sadly wrong. They don’t care about anyone but their blue check marks and the marketing of them. The little people don’t count, and the automation knows the difference.
I don’t think I’ll bother to get my account back. It’s not a life/death situation. Besides, you’ll see the most famous tweets in the newspapers a day later.
BTW, I did register my phone with them. They know my email. I just think Twitter has jumped the shark and Jack Dorsey is playing for the GOP.

I am not sure why they’ve suspended me today. But, i remember tweeting a poem yesterday. Which said “SHARPEN YOUR SPEARS, THE WAR IS AT THE DOOR” + scheduling my tweets using Twuffer.com & DrumUp.io but otherwise nothing at all violates any law. Funny, they aren’t telling me that i am suspended. I just can’t DM, Tweet or do anything. My following count has zeroed down. The appeal form can’t be send stating “reCapture un supported by Google on your browser” i am just confused and angry..! Barack, Kampala, Uganda, EastAfrica. I was shocked to discover my Twitter acct suspended a couple of days ago. I confirmed my contact info as requested, then filled out the appeal form believing it must be some mistake or maybe I was hacked. I just now received a similar email response from Twitter saying that I was suspended for multiple violations of their rules and to not contact them about it because they won’t monitor or whatever. Well I found their description of how they manage violations or whatever, they say they’re “Fair, Informative, Responsive, and Accountable.” Giving someone NO specific reason for suspension and NO opportunity to ACTUALLY appeal fits NONE of this B.S. list. Twitter can suck it.

  64. JMAU73 says:

My twitter acct. was suspended Aug 29,2019 for “hateful conduct”. I only tweeted re bad English used by a CNN reporter. I did not threaten anyone. I have filed several appeals to no avail. They simply send me an email that says “you appealed an acct. that has been closed I had many political tweets and responded to many. I fully believe they suspended me for saying something negative re CNN. They are nothing but a political, left wing organization.

  65. Don says:

I contacted Twitter several times but received no response.

The problem is with @Madeira … this account has been suspended illegally. The account has been suspended for NO reason and NO warning.

I have been using the Madeira Twitter account since May 2007. I am the owner of @Madeira’s Twitter account. Suddenly (three weeks ago) this account has been suspended for no apparent reason or warning from Twitter.

According to history and logs, there was no violation. Just check the history and logs of this Twitter account:
    https://twitter.com/search?q=(%40madeira)&src=typed_query

These is (was) no reason for a suspension. We always respected and follow the rules of Twitter policy.

I will be forwarding this issue to anyone (as much as possible) that liked/retweeted @Madeira. I hope this message helps to solve this issue.

    Regards,

Hi, my account was just suspended on October 20, 2019. they said i was being hateful. I didn’t write any hateful posts, and i’ve tried appealing about 7 times already, and each time, it says that my account has been suspended and will not be restored because it was found violating the hateful conduct rule. As stated, I did not write a hateful post. My account was 10 years old. got it in 2019. is there anything else i could do?

  67. Kevin says:

I was suspended from Twitter on October 16th. A week ago. I’m not sure how this differs from having my account for a day, two days or even a week which was 10 days before I got suspended. Hell I know what tweet it was that got me hit with the suspension and I just sent my third appeal to get it unsuspended.

I’ve had this account for 2 days and it’s been integrated to several devices of mine. If after this third appeal I still can’t get my account unsuspended, where do I even go from here?

  68. Susan says:

I have literally NEVER violated the rules on Twitter yet suddenly this is everything from today:

We typically suspend accounts for violations of the Twitter Rules (https://twitter.com/rules) or Terms of Service (https://twitter.com/tos). Additionally, repeat violations may result in permanent account suspension.

I have been wrongfully suspended. All I keep getting is your account has multiple violations of the rules. Yet no specifics as to what rules my account has supposedly violated. My account has never threatened violence. My account has never engaged in terrorism or extremism. My account has never engaged in child sexual exploitation. My account has never been abusive nor has it ever harassed anyone. Nor has it ever incited people to do so. My account has never engaged in hateful conduct although it has been the target of such conduct. My account has never engaged in or promoted suicide or self-harm. My account has never posted sensitive media. My account has never engaged in promoting illegal goods or services. My account has never posted private information. My account has never posted nudity. My account has never suppressed information or spammed anyone. My account has never tried to interfere with or manipulate elections though it has been targeted by people doing so. My account has never impersonated anyone. My account has never violated copyright or trademark. So after reviewing all the rules and citing where my account has not been in violation, I only have one question again: WHAT rules has my account suddenly violated since TWO DAYS AGO which was the last time any tweet to anyone went out from my account? Your form literally says to describe the nature of the appeal as in why I do not believe my account violated the rules or if I am having difficulties unsuspending my account. I am trying to nicely explain this and seek out a specific reason from Twitter why they feel my account suddenly is in violation of the rules to the extent that my account can no longer be used or followed by new people or anything after 11 years of impeccable behavior and following the rules. I literally see the Donald J Trump account violate all these rules and go unscathed. I literally see a lot worse than anything I could ever come up with. I am autistic. This is a good teaching moment for Twitter if Twitter would just explain what rules I have supposedly violated.

I literally have read the rules three times over and have gone over my account. I have not found any violations of the rules on my account and telling me I supposedly violated the rules is not saying anything of value. I am a disabled American citizen who rarely even uses twitter except to correct lies I see from the Trump account (which does violate the rules on a daily basis), occasionally get support from utilities we have accounts from that insist on using Twitter for us to get support, and retweet when asked to do so by companies or blog contests. I follow more than what follows me and even still very rarely follow anyone now. I am asking not only for a re-review but further explanation of what rules Twitter thinks my account has somehow violated since two days ago when my last tweets were to Redbox about their site and app not working and to the Masked Singer about knowing that the black widow was Raven and feeling she was wronged in getting booted off the show. I do feel this suspension is indeed a violation of my rights as a disabled American to have access to the ability of communications with my utilities companies. I rarely send DMs if ever. I have seen far worse than an occasional GIF calling someone out for lying or censoring my own language so as to not end up in violation.

    To the ACLU:

I have had Twitter account ses1978 for 11 years. Very little incidence of any and mostly would have been VERY minor things. BUT this week, and the day before my birthday no less, my last three tweets from my account were:

One tweet to Redbox about their website and app not working and two tweets to the Masked Singer about Raven. These were sent November 6, 2019.

I have judiciously and carefully made sure not to overdo tweet replies to Trump often in the form of GIF why do you lie so much. And some of these would have gone to multiple politicians. 🤔🤔🤔🤔

When I logged onto my Twitter November 8, 2019, I tried to like a tweet. “This action cannot be some your account is suspended.”

So I clicked that to get more information.

Reasons accounts can be suspended:

Violation of rules.

Okay. But what rules have I suddenly violated?

Read the rules.

Hmmm…. I literally have done NONE of the above. But I have seen Trump do ALL of the above with no repercussions.

At this juncture, my account remains in appeals as the final appeals not only threatened the possibility of an attorney contact but also indicated the possibility of someone hacking my account. The hacked account is a VERY real possibility and HAS happened to my Twitter account a few times over the last 11 years. A lot more than it seems it should considering that I am basically an unknown on Twitter.

But it does seem the last appeals got more than a canned reply of “your account has multiple and repeated violations of the rules.”

Ah yes, the rules I have yet to find any violations of on my account? The rules that Twitter has yet to specifically say which ones my account supposedly violated? Those rules.

So see, here are some things you need to know about me and the possibility of different scenarios having occurred:

I am autistic. I can write. Over the years, Alabama Power, ATT, and Directv have taken an abundance of customer support services onto Twitter and Twitter DMs. I am disabled and my mom is now confined to a wheelchair. So the Twitter has been crucial in handling these customer support service matters. So here Twitter’s actions against me may be violating my rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Since the only negative tweets or twitter replies that go out from my account are to politicians calling them out for errors and lies, it is possible that we now have MULTIPLE politicians who somehow feel threatened by an unknown 40 year old autistic woman with PECs and are trying to silence me by FALSELY reporting MY Twitter account. Now you guys have helped make sure that it is ILLEGAL for politicians to block people on Twitter, but have you fought for a Twitter user who has had their account wrongfully suspended for supposed rule violations just for calling out politicians for lying? Because this attempt to silence dissenting views definitely violates the First Amendment freedom of speech, freedom of the press, AND freedom to a redress of grievances. 🤔🤔🤔

What else could have triggered this? The account The Autism Cafe is part of what is called the autistic dark web. The autistic dark web will go after autistics like me who can write. They will abuse us. They will bully us. They will try to discredit our diagnoses even if we have been professionally diagnosed. The Autism Cafe just got one autistic like me thrown off of Facebook. Her repeated attacks led the autistic into a depression that nearly resulted in the autistic wanting to commit suicide. The Autism Cafe is NO different on Twitter. I myself HAVE BEEN a victim of their attacks on autistics on Twitter. Twitter never did anything about it. Yet my account has been suspended for supposed rule violations I never committed. 🤔🤔🤔

Lastly, a hacker. My account HAS hacked a few times over the past 11 years and the hacker has managed to cause my Twitter account to go into violation status. But ordinarily, they inform me of the suspicious or malicious behavior and give me an opportunity to address this and get this corrected. So it would be weird that they didn’t give me an opportunity to do that this time and went straight for a suspension.

Now when I google this situation I am facing, I have found the following:

Twitter admits to wrongfully suspending accounts for dissenting political viewpoints. Twitter acknowledges that the Trump account does violate their rules but will not take action.

Wait…. Twitter acknowledges that Trump violates their rules yet won’t take action yet when they receive an appeals for wrongful suspension because a user has NOT violated the rules, they just continue to defame the user who has not violated the rules?

Let me add here: I have seen much worse than what I have ever posted on Twitter. So bad in fact, that they usually have a note that they have hidden some tweets that were too graphic or had a lot of language in them. Meanwhile, I tweet a GIF that says why do you lie so much and self-censor my language so as to not violate their rules and I get a suspended account? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

Okay, so here is my specific last major message through Twitter appeals where I even outlined the rules and my lack of violations:

“I literally have read the rules three times over and have gone over my account. I have seen far worse than an occasional GIF calling someone out for lying or censoring my own language so as to not end up in violation.”

  69. Darris says:

My twitter account was suspended without, according to twitter support, any hope of being reactivated due to what they call their policy of hateful or violent conduct. Two things are unusual about this as I am constantly harassed by the same accounts threatening me and my family, which twitter support has done nothing about, and I am generally quick to block or mute. it has been frustrating to go through this process as I am not in the business of spreading hateful comments, and since twitter won’t show me the comment which I recieved a suspension from, nor provide any evidence I have violated any of their code of conduct guidelines.

I have appealed a nunmber of times.

    Anything I can do here?
